Andrew, a decorated marine officer, graduated from the University of Cape Town as an archaeologist and subsequently continued studies at the University of South Africa.
In 1991 he left corporate life and formed a software company. He became increasingly involved in the models of Elliott Jaques and in 1995 was granted a franchise by the Brunel Institute of Organisation and Social Studies (BIOSS). During this time Andrew consulted widely in the numerous countries and in 1997 together with USAID, Andrew's company jointly sponsored a conference for Building National Capacity in Namibia.
In 1999 Andrew set up an Australian operation and was a board member for BIOSS International in London. Andrew's consulting in Australia has seen him working with the CEOs and senior executive in the financial services sectors, research organisations and communication companies.
In 2003 he published a book called "The Working Journey" in which he attempted to make the fundamental knowledge of Elliott Jaques and the Complexity Models available to high potential individuals. His book contextualises a number of well known Australian executives against these models.
Andrew has a range of business issues and continues to consult discretely with senior executives. He has advised and commented to Parliamentary sub-committees in South African and Australia on the structure of government service delivery and advised or commented on the "Working Journey" of a number of public figures, including Nelson Mandela, John Eales, Mike Hawker, James Strong and Muhammad Yunus.
In 2013 he published his second book "Organisational Design - What Your University Forgot To Teach You" and his company hosted a User Group Meeting.
