Ricardo Gutierrez Krusemann
Professor
Instituto Technologica de Buenos Aires
Ricardo Gutiérrez Krüsemann, an Academic Senior Fellow of the Society, is a Professor teaching Management Theory exclusively based on requisite organization design concepts at the Buenos Aires Technological Institute (ITBA) and an RO-focused senior consultant supporting industry.

Ricardo first studied requisite organization in 1984.  He translated the Theory of Bureaucracy into Spanish for use in his courses.

He was a key international advisor during the Global Organization Design Society's creation in 2004.  Shortly after, he joined the Society as a founding member and attended world conferences in 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2012. In addition to attending, in 2009 Ricardo served on the conference planning team and was vital to the event's success. He arranged for ITBA’s Rector, José Luis Roces, to speak about RO use at ITBA, organized funding for several conference activities and was instrumental in securing co-sponsorship from ITBA and Fundece, a foundation of CEOs striving for quality and better management practices.  During his time with the Global Organization, Ricardo hosted a meeting of some 60 CEOs and General Managers to learn about their experience applying RO in their companies. Similarly, he's hosted a workshop of teachers of RO concepts in Argentina and led a special meeting of Society señior members at ITBA.

A full professor at the ITBA since 2001, he was also Director of the Professional Development Department from 2001 to 2013 and taught a special capstone course to undergraduate engineering students. His course facilitated their understanding of the organizations they will work in upon graduating, making them more capable and effective at managing their future careers.  Additionally, he has provided community service to ITBA by serving on committees and advising on Institute policies where RO concepts may prove useful.

Ricardo’s managerial experience comes from 27 years in various roles with Philips Argentina and then 8 years with Whirlpool Argentina where he became Chair of the Board and CEO.
