Dr Lynch’s experience spans operations, production, maintenance, HR/IR, climate change, sustainability, energy efficiency, business development and project roles within mining, sugar, renewables, energy, consulting and requisite organisation. He is past chair of the Vocational Partnership Group, former board member of Skills 360 Australia and currently a board member of Tully Sugar Limited (TSL) which is owned by the Chinese agribusiness company COFCO.
Initial electrical qualifications are augmented by an MBA and a PhD. The thesis is founded on organisational change management, OD and the theories of Elliott Jaques (Requisite Organisation) in the Australian mining industry - predominately Conzinc Riotinto Australia (CRA) and Comalco (now Rio Tinto and Rio Tinto Alcan). The study is based around the company stewardship of Sir Roderick Carnegie, the organisational theories of Elliott Jaques and the change management processes of Professor John Kotter. The dissertation examines competitiveness, leadership, organisation development, change management, OD, requisite organisation, five business unit and group executive structures, culture, time span of discretion, strategy, stratified systems theory, industrial relations, core business, career development, the union movement, employment and single status workforce models.
Researched was undertaken throughout Australia, United Kingdom and the USA. Attended requisite organisation conferences/workshops in Melbourne Australia, London UK, Boston, Austin, Sarasota, Omaha and Atlanta in the USA.
