Tarald O. Kvalseth
Professor, Mechanical Engineering (Emeritus)
University of Minnesota
Born in Norway and educated in England and the U.S. Learned of the Glacier Project at Berkeley while in the Graduate School of Industrial Engineering. Thesis was on time-span of discretion in two work locations. Found TSD correlated with role rankings at +0.93 and with actual pay at +0.96. (Did not explore felt-fair pay.) Found other factors were subsumed within TSD (skills, experience, responsibility, etc.). Found resources were an additional factor that had consequences.
