Board Member Selection Criteria

  • Skilled knowledge in core methods of field
  • Prior contribution to the GO society
  • Board experience or ability and motivation to do board level work

Role Expectations

  • Orientation - review incorporation, by-laws, strategic plan, budget & major policies.
  • Read pre-meeting documents.
  • Attend four-to-five 90-minute teleconference board meetings per year
  • Attend one face-to-face board meetings at the world conferences each two years
  • Participate / champion one or more board projects.
  • Participate in web-based polls.
  • Total time commitment - 2 - 4 plus depending on special projects.

  • Treat others with respect.
  • Fulfill commitments in a timely way.
  • If necessary to miss a meeting, read meeting materials and vote prior to the meeting, and call to be briefed afterward.

A global association of academics, managers, and consultants that focuses on spreading RO implementation practices and encouraging their use
Dr. Gerry Kraines, the firms principal, combines Harry Levinson's leadership frameworks with Elliott Jaques's Requisite Organization. He worked closely with Jaques over many years, has trained more managers in these methods than anyone else in the field, and has developed a comprehensive RO-based software for client firms.
Former RO-experienced CEO, Ron Harding, provides coaching to CEOs of start-ups and small and medium-size companies that are exploring their own use of RO concepts.  His role is limited, temporary and coordinated with the RO-based consultant working with the organization
