In the conference, I got to meet consultants from across four continents who were genuinely interested in collaborating on research projects. I also got to interact with senior executives from companies that had implemented requisite principles. It was particularly interesting to listen to their accounts of Requisite Organization in action.
It is appalling that Eliott Jaques' work has not gotten the recognition it deserves. I think management scholars owe it to themselves and their discipline to bring his thinking to the main stream. This elephant in the room can no longer be ignored. If Jaques is right then we have indeed been peddling alchemy for far too long.
I believe the GO Society conducts a conference every two years. Whether you are a consultant or an academic, if you are interested in learning about Requisite Organization, you cannot do much better than attend one of their conferences. I am sure you will find it worth your while."
