As a leader in the financial industry for the past 25+ years, I am currently the COO of Direct Operations at San Antonio Federal Credit Union where I lead all aspects of our Direct business (Branches, Digital Banking, Call Center, Direct Lending and Deposit Products) as well as Technology Delivery and Member Operations. While I have spent more than 20 years working at SACU during two different stints, I’ve also held senior leadership positions with financial industry vendor companies. During my 10 years in the vendor world, I led the Credit Union Division Technology Services team at EDS, served as Interchange Director at GenPass Technologies and was Director of Product Delivery at Symitar, a Jack Henry Company.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas State University. I’m a graduate of NAFCU’s Management Development Institute and teach Fundamentals of Leadership Framework (Requisite Organization) to our credit union leadership team. I was previously a member of the CUNA Technology Council Executive Committee and served as the council’s Membership Committee Chair.
I was first introduced to Requisite Organization in 2007 when I rejoined SACU in a Stratum IV role. At that time, SACU was just in the beginning phases of RO introduction and implementation and since that time Requisite Organization principles have been a critical part of organizational structure and role designs throughout all my areas of accountability. New and seasoned leaders throughout our organization have implemented Requisite Organization principles as part of our everyday leadership system, helping set up leaders and staff for success.
